I am so looking forward to this integration. I have put any new app trials on hold until this is in. I think the app as such is brilliant, and everything I need - when said integration is in place ;)

this is taking an absurd amount of time. many competitors already support this integration.

      Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. We’re excited that you want to see the Microsoft account option within Routine.

We're aware Microsoft account access is a widely requested feature, and I want to give you some context on our approach.

We've been focusing on foundational improvements based on user feedback and research. These underlying features will enable us to ship capabilities like Microsoft integration more successfully and sustainably going forward.

The good news is that Microsoft account access is now actively in development.

We'll automatically notify you once it's ready since you follow this post.

Please let me know if I can help you in any other way.

      All the best,

      Manos @Routine

One question. Now Microsoft Outlook shows up as an integration, but not in the changelog, it still has status as “Next up”. Does this mean it works or not?

As of now it works as an integration meaning you can pull emails into databases. It does not work as a login account or as a calendar account for now.

Ok thank you for your response. The problem now, is that for us outlook users, we can’t really do much about tasks in relation to time, there is just a big annoying window to the right in agenda view

. Could it be possible to implement an internal calendar without the integration?

Hi. We understand this is not ideal. But the idea was to at least let you use Routine without being blocked by Google.

Note that you can also connect Outlook to Google and then to Routine.

Hi Julien, can you please share how to connect Outlook to Google and then to Routine? I tried hard to find anything how to do that, but couldn’t find how. Any help appreciated.

It would be great to get this in - I keep looking back at routine as I really enjoyed trialling it with Google (my personal set up) and it keeps getting better. However, my work uses Microsoft and this fundamental feature for so many people has been on the roadmap for two years and it’s the most requested integration on the roadmap. I don’t need to log in with microsoft, I just want to access my calendars. The workarounds don’t work with my IT policy so are of no help.

What is the status of this now? Is it still in development?

Is there any plan to let users take notes on events that are passive (Outlook calendar copied over to Google as read only)?

Hi Dinesh. Yes it will be implemented, see Note taking on events one does not own . But most likely Outlook will be supported as a calendar before that.
