The Menu Bar Widget provides at-a-glance access to your upcoming events, daily tasks, and timers without opening the full Routine app. It lives in your system menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows/Linux), keeping your schedule visible while you work in other applications. This widget is only available on desktop apps (macOS, Windows, and Linux).
π― Functionality
With the Menu Bar Widget, you can:
View your next upcoming event with a countdown timer
See all upcoming events for the day
Access your daily tasks
Start and manage timers
Stay aware of your schedule without switching to Routine
Click to expand for more details or open the full app
The widget updates in real-time and remains accessible regardless of which application you're using. It's especially valuable for people who work in focused sessions across multiple applications and need passive awareness of their schedule.
ποΈ How to enable the Menu Bar Widget
Download and install the Routine desktop app (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
Open Routine and go to Settings
Navigate to the Plugins section
