Routine has been designed to manage everything in your life. Tasks, calendars, notes, and contacts. However, you may not need all features active at once. The customizable menu lets you hide, reorder, and configure sections to match your workflow, making Routine feel more focused and natural to use.

✍️ Functionality

With the customizable menu, you can:

  • Hide menu sections you don't actively use

  • Reorder sections to prioritize what matters most

  • Compress the menu for a cleaner, minimal interface

  • Configure Routine to work as a focused tool (e.g., calendar-only mode)

  • Adapt the interface as your needs change over time

The menu adapts to your workflow rather than forcing you into a fixed structure.

⁉️ Why customize your menu

Not everyone uses Routine the same way. You might:

  • Focus primarily on calendar and time-blocking

  • Use tasks and planning without needing notes or contacts

  • Prefer a minimal interface with only essential sections visible

  • Want to reduce visual clutter and cognitive overhead

Customizing the menu ensures Routine supports your specific productivity style instead of overwhelming you with unused features.

🎙️ How to customize your menu

  1. Open Routine settings

  2. Navigate to the Menu

  3. Toggle sections on or off:

    • Hide sections like Notes, Journal, Contacts, or Labels if you don't use them

    • Keep only the sections essential to your workflow

  4. Reorder sections by dragging them:

    • Move frequently used sections (e.g., Inbox, Calendar) to the top

    • Position less-used sections lower in the menu

  5. Compress the menu for a minimal view

    • This hides section labels and shows icons only

    • Creates a full-width workspace for your active view

You can also set one the items as Home, so Routine opens up in that page every time you open it. Your customization is saved automatically and syncs across devices.
